DeuBraNet 2011

German-Brazilian Workshop on Management and Engineering of IT-Supported Business Networks, Administration Networks and Social Networks (DeuBraNet) 2011

Today, we observe the emergence and proliferation of networks in almost all aspects of professional and private life as parts of a shift towards a Networked Society. The German-Brazilian Workshop “Management and Engineering of IT-Supported Business Networks, Administration Networks and Social Networks” (DeuBraNet 2011) offered a forum for discussion and presentations of German and Brazilian scientists who contributed to a better understanding of the connected society. They basically worked on the specific relations between Brazilian entrepreneurs, the public authorities and citizens in IT supported networks. More information is available at: http://deubranet.ercis.org/.

The DeuBraNet 2011 was funded by the German Federal Ministry of Research of Education and Research (BMBF) in the context of the German-Brazilian Year of Science, Technology and Innovation 2010/11 (http://www.dbwti.de/). We gratefully acknowledge the support of the International Bureau of the BMBF.
The ERCIS Service Science Competence Center co-chaired DeuBraNet, most notably by Martin Matzner, who was responsible for all major steps in planning and conducting the workshop.
